The President of the South-Central Ghana Conference of the SDA Church Pastor Philip Amponsah-Mensah has charged city authorities in the country to make provision of dustbins a priority else the fight against indiscriminate littering of the environment would become a mirage.
Speaking to OWIATV NEWS during sanitation exercise held by the Stadium SDA church at the Baba Yara Stadium, he underscored that most of the citizens feel uncomfortable to throw filth on the streets but due to the unavailable dustbins they are compelled to do at the detriment of sanitation crusade.
He has therefore insisted that the provision of the bins would augment the nationwide crusade, adding it would go a long way to reduce flooding as a result of choked gutters.
Pastor Philip Amponsah-Mensah, however appealed to the public to make cleanliness a priority because no filthy person to make it in heaven.
The Stadium SDA Church Elder, Mr. Derrick Osei admonished Ghanaians to make cleanliness a habit rather to wait for the government to prescribe measures to clean our environment.
He explained that as Adventists, the church was undertaking the clean-up exercise today in order to make way for Sabbath service tomorrow.
