NPP CONSTITUENCY ELECTIONS: NULLIFY ALL THE INJUNCTED RESULTS TO SERVE AS A STRONG STATEMENT TO LAWLESSNESS – OBIRI BOAHENE

A former deputy General Secretary of the NPP Lawyer Nana Obiri Yeboah has charged the leadership of the NPP to ensure all the injuncted and disputed results are nullified to serve as a caution to all lawless party members of whose action are seen to be running the party down.
Speaking to OWIATV NEWS on the aftermath of the constituency elections held across the country, Lawyer Nana Obiri Yeboah said the party was formed on the premise of rule of law adding no any group or individual must not be seen as flouting on the orders of the court.
The General Secretary of the NPP Mr. Justine Kodua Frimpong has said the party managed to hold elections in 245 out of the 276 constituencies elections successfully and peacefully representing an 88.7% success rate. Mr. Justine Kodua Frimpong says 23 constituencies had their elections put on hold due to various disputes saying four constituencies could not hold elections because of last-minute challenges with Ningo Prampram, Atwima Mponua, Obuasi West and Trobu constituencies as the outstanding constituencies. The statement released by Mr. Justine Kodua Frimpong says the National Steering Committee will review election activities in the following constituencies Afigya Sekyere East, Adansi Asokwa, Bantama and Asante Akyem Central. He assured that the National Secretariat remains committed to resolving all outstanding issues and ensuring the successful completion of the electoral process.
But speaking Lawyer Nana Obiri Yeboah said the leadership of the party must not feel intimidated or seem to side with any faction of the party and ensure cracking the whip no matter whoever would fall victim to the law.
He, however, said the outcome of the whole election was positive and encouraging for the fortunes of the party emphasizing that NPP as a human institution must not be seen as a wrong if some bad nuts are found amongst them.
