Ghana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria and an aspiring Parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso East NDC Mr. Baba Jamal has said he is unmoved over claims by the InfoAnalytics study predicting a victory for fellow contestant Hajia Amina Adams.
A recent poll by Global InfoAnalytics shows Hajia Amina Adams leading the race for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary in Ayawaso East ahead of the March 2026 by-election.
The survey indicates that 58% of respondents support Hajia Amina Adams, followed by Baba Jamal at 32%. Other aspirants—Muhammed Ramne, Dr. Yakubu Azindow, and Najib Muhammed Sani—received 5%, 3%, and 2%, respectively.
All five candidates cleared the party’s vetting process in late January at the NDC Greater Accra Regional Office. The Ayawaso East NDC primary is set for Saturday, February 7, to determine the candidate for the March by-election.
Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, said, “The poll reflects current voter sentiment in the constituency and provides insights into the likely outcome of the primary.”
But speaking to OWIA NEWS on the telephone, Mr. Baba Jamal said he wants to remain focused and ensure victory in tomorrow’s by primaries in the constituency, adding there was no need to comments on the survey at this crucial period of the elections.
